When the blooms on most perennials are over or winding down for the season, the Dahlias are just beginning to come into their full glory. Visitors wait for the colourful display of blossoms in many shapes and sizes and they are never disappointed.
We have grown and tested many outstanding varieties over the years and we do our best to keep them all in order. An occasional plant will lose its name but shows such merit that we keep it in the collection. One such plant is the ‘Yellow unknown’ at the bottom of our list. At first glance it may not appear to be as showy as other varieties but with blossoms up to 6″ across…it is a ‘keeper’.
